Ladyhawke – Ladyhawke

Phillipa “Pip” Brown cranks it out on her first solo release.
She is supporting the Ting Tings spring 2009 on their UK tour, cool.

A lovely 2007 release from this talented Australian vocalist.
I must check out her previous two discs.
Clare Bowditch – ‘When The Lights Went Down’ from the album ‘The Moon Looked On’

Some lovely Electro-pop from Norwegian Annie Lilia Berge Strand.
This is her debut from 2004 and highly enjoyable it is to, nicely upbeat.
She is due to release her second album sometime this year.
Annie – ‘Chewing Gum’ from the album ‘Anniemal’
She was 15.
Awsome.
I just had to hear it.
And you have to read this.

Some classic 2007 Electro from these girls.
I like it as background sound when working, but it does lack some passion…
A new album out this Spring, so I hope they add more verve.
Client – ‘6 In The Morning’ from the album ‘Heartland’

Sarah Assbring is back in February with her third release.
The tracks I have heard on her MySpace promise much, I can’t wait, having enjoyed her self titled 2006 release.
Lovely stuff.
El Perro Del Mar – ‘Glory To The World’ from the album ‘From The Valley To The Stars’

I thoroughly enjoyed her self titled debut from 2003 having also loved her work with The Brooklyn Funk Essentials.
Just catching up on this 2008 release from her and loving it.
Stephanie McKay – ‘Say What You Feel’ from the album ‘Tell It Like It Is’
www.stephaniemckay.com Autoplay on :(

Back with their third stompingly good album.
Tap dancing as percussion, cool…
Tilly & the Wall – Pot Kettle Black from Team Love on Vimeo.

Loving them from last year with their sweet debut release Kurr, they have done a version of OMD’s ‘Souvenir in December’ which you can hear over at their website.
Knitted hats-off-to-you girls… Hildur Ársælsdóttir, Edda Rún Ólafsdóttir, Maria Huld Markan Sigfúsdóttir and Sólrún Sumarliðadóttir.
Amiina – ‘Seoul’ from the album ‘Kurr’
I have just started updating to the latest version of WordPress on my server, so if things look a bit wonky over the next few days, please forgive my lack of coding skills :)
