Parts II and III of Janelles concept narrative, heavily influenced by the Fritz Lang’s Metropolis, on this release.
Stunning. Played it back to back three times the first time I heard it. Don’t let the first single Tightrope fool you, each track is totally different, and brilliant. Check out the whole album on her MySpace page.
Definitely in my top ten so far this year.

Not a massive drift away from their brilliant debut release Alpinisms (2008) but who cares, it’s great stuff.

June is one of those months that seems our family has managed to condense most of our birthdays into the same month.
Hence I have been busy and not posting here…
To cut a long story short, I decided to compile a CD for my Dad of all the tracks that he used to play that really made an impact on me.
It was quite an emotional journey, but worth it :)

What a great Dad I have that played all those lovely tracks for me and influenced me so much.
Almost retro 80‘s synth sounds from vocalist ‘Plastique’ and electro genius ‘Deadbeat’.
A punchy debut that has been looping on my playlists for the last few weeks, and I am not tiring of it.
