Spam and POE

1157 Spam posts filtered on this site today, and that with me using all the WordPress plugins I know of.
Kinda pisses me off posting.

The Top Spam link over the years has been POE. Maybe as she has a 3 letter name.

God, I miss her music. “Hello” I am going to play now ;)

BTW, who borrowed my copy of the “House of Leaves” by her brother… grrr

Lia Ices – Grown Unknown

Lia Ices - Grown Unknown

This is an album that is barely there. Late night listening perfection.
Wonderfully off kilter.
Totally took me by surprise.
Thanks to John F for suggesting.

Keren Ann – 101

Keren Ann - 101

This one snuck by me this week, as I never get release emails about her stuff.
You can’t subscribe to her mailing list from the UK as it is run by EMI, who are crap at running their artists websites. (had to get that off my chest:)

Sweet, sweet, as always to start with, but why the gun on the cover? Oh, we find out on track 7.
Hopefully a split up with EMI…

The last track, I love. “101″
As I am sure you are all aware that is a Palindromic number. But are you aware it is also a Palindromic Prime Number!
It also reminded me of Philip Glass, “Einstein on the Beach”, so I had to listen to that today, 4 hours…

Lykke Li – Wounded Rhymes

Lykke Li - Wounded Rhymes

I would class this as a slow burner…
Failing instantly in love with her 2008 debut, here, it took me a few plays to get into this, but loving it now.
Nasty backing guitars and percussion.
You can grab her latest single for free over on her website.
