Annabeth McNamara – Extra Orchard
A wonderfully under produced album. No messing with the purity of her voice and her beloved banjo.
Two free tracks over on Bandcamp.

Annabeth McNamara – ‘December Suite’ and ‘Mister Lady’
Zee Avi (Izyan Alirahman, AKA KokoKaina) returns with her ukulele and wistful vocals for a second release.
Not at all challenging in any way or form. But sometimes that is just the sort of music I need, and Zee does it to perfection.
Zee Avi – 20 minutes of live tracks from the album ‘Ghostbird’
Her latest is released today, with the option of a Deluxe version adding a second CD of songs.
A real filmic/soundtrack feel to the whole album.
Delicious vocals as usual from the wonderful Ane.
Ane Brun – Do You Remember (Official Video) from Ane Brun on Vimeo.
Thoroughly getting into this 2006 release. She is currently looking for funding to finish off her next release over on Kickstarter.
Bronwen Exeter – ‘Resting House’ from the album ‘Elevator Ride’
Pure and simple sweetness to chill out to.
This is her third release so I must check out her previous two.
Digital over on iTunes, physical over at MapleMusic.
Emilie Mover – ‘Chove Chuva’ from the album ‘Seems So Long’
Emilie Mover – ‘No Words’ from the album ‘Good Shake, Nice Gloves’
Laura delivers a much more vibrant chapter in this her third musical adventure. It’s a narrative of sorts with lyrical elements intertwining the tracks throughout the album. Check out her fretwork on this mellow acoustic version of The Muse.
On the album she gets a bit more ballsy with her voice, which is good to see/hear.
Touring America at the moment with Alessi’s Ark as support.
Laura Marling – ‘The Muse’ from the album ‘A Creature I Don’t Know’
Alessi Laurent-Marke returns with her second full release which is a charmingly simplistic affair, and at the same time beautifully complex.
She is supporting Laura Marling on her current American tour. High praise indeed.
Thanks to Elliot at Sneak Attack Media for supplying the files.
Alessi’s Ark – ‘On The Plains’ from the album ‘Time Travel’
Three sisters, Asy, Chloe and Maia, who are ridiculously young to be making decent music such as they do.
Their third album is free to download from their website.
How cool is that.
Smoosh – ‘We Are Our Own Lies’ (live) from the album ‘Withershins’
Currently working on her second album with funding from the oh-so-cool Kickstarter website.
Fabulously delicate voice that really works with the cover versions on this her debut release from 2009.
Kat Edmonson – ‘Lucky’ from the album ‘Take To The Sky’
Nothing ground breaking from Alela on this her forth release.
She has even toned down her extremes of vocals, which is a shame.
A gentle listening ride never the less.
Alela Diane & Wild Devine – ‘Desire’ from the album ‘Alela Diane & Wild Devine’
Time for some dark raucous rock. She does quieten down on a few tracks, but the whole album is good and primal.
Abbe May – ‘Design Desire’ from the album ‘Design Desire’
Their forth release from this Austrian bunch, and the first I have heard.
Shocking.
Great stuff, fronted by Maria Humpel.
Clara Luzia – ‘The Waving Ones’ (Acoustic) from the album ‘Failing Into Place’
