Sia – ‘You’ve Changed’ from the album ‘We Are Born’

I picked up this sweet release from 2006 in a second hand store.
I must check more of her stuff out.
Jess McAvoy – ‘Easy’ from the album ‘Into The Dark’

Some seriously funky and soulful sounds from this vocally talented Australian.
Kylie Auldist – ‘No Use’ from the album ‘Made of Stone’
Kylie Auldist – ‘Made Of Stone’ (live) from the album ‘Made Of Stone’

How about some in-your-face girl rock?
Look no further than this live recording of twin sisters Jessica Origliasso and Lisa Origliasso.
The Veronicas – ‘Take Me On the Floor’ (live) @ Sunrise – ‘From the album Revenge is Sweeter Tour’

The third release from Sarah is a wonderfully restrained affair.
Nicely chilled.
Sarah Blasko – ‘All I Want’ from the album ‘As Day Follows Night’

A great off beat debut album.
What a lovely surprise.
Her catchy track ‘Neopolitan Dreams’ from this album is being used on the current Surf advert on TV.
Lisa Mitchell – ‘Coin Laundry’ from the album ‘Wonder’

This is an absolutely fabulous release from 2008.
I have been playing it non stop.

Some great roots music from Australia.
Superb lyrics and a rolling powerful voice.
Liz Stringer – ‘Like a Roll of Thunder’

I have been thoroughly enjoying this second release from Australian Sarah Blasko.
She is in the studio finishing off her third album.
Sarah Blasko – ‘Planet New Year’ from the album ‘What The Sea Wants The Sea Will Have’

A lovely 2007 release from this talented Australian vocalist.
I must check out her previous two discs.
Clare Bowditch – ‘When The Lights Went Down’ from the album ‘The Moon Looked On’

A new video from Angus & Julia from their delicious album A Book Like This.
Angus & Julia Stone – ‘Hollywood’ from the album ‘A Book Like This’

The 2003 debut from Australian Bufferfly Boucher (yes, that is her real name).
Her second album is complete, but yet to be released for some reason. You can listen to it over on her MySpace page.
Butterfly Boucher – ‘I Can’t Make Me Love You’ from the album ‘Flutterby’

A sweet and intimate 2004 debut release from Sally Seltmann.
As soft and gentle as her recent ‘Somewhere, anywhere’ album.
New Buffalo – ‘I’ve Got You And You’ve Got Me’ from the album ‘The Last Beautiful Day’

This is the first I have heard of Sally Seltmann, other than the track ‘1234’ that Feist made famous, and it’s a sweet album.
New Buffalo – ‘Cheer Me Up Thank You’ from the album ‘Somewhere, anywhere’
There is a streaming gig over at NPR

WhooHoo! Sia’s new CD arrived yesterday, and it’s a wonderfully strong piece of work. Her lyrics are as clever as always and the tunes up to her usual catchy standard. Fabulous. Even a few hairs-on-the-neck tingle moments.
This one is going to be on the iPod for a good long time.
Go to her website now and order a copy.
