New Buffalo - The Last Beautiful Day

A sweet and intimate 2004 debut release from Sally Seltmann.
As soft and gentle as her recent ‘Somewhere, anywhere’ album.

New Buffalo - ‘I’ve Got You And You’ve Got Me’ from the album ‘The Last Beautiful Day’

This is the first I have heard of Sally Seltmann, other than the track ‘1234’ that Feist made famous, and it’s a sweet album.

There is a streaming gig over at NPR

WhooHoo! Sia’s new CD arrived yesterday, and it’s a wonderfully strong piece of work. Her lyrics are as clever as always and the tunes up to her usual catchy standard. Fabulous. Even a few hairs-on-the-neck tingle moments.
This one is going to be on the iPod for a good long time.
Go to her website now and order a copy.

Previously on NotPop… Go back up to the to of the page and do a search on Sia…
Just another Sia madly lovely video…
Sia - Pictures

I can’t resist doing a second post on this album as I came across this vid on YouTube. She is just genius.
Sia - “Breathe Me” from the album “Colour the Small One”

Angus & Julia Stone - “Bella” from the album “A Book Like This”
A very delicate, fragile even, vocal brother and sister duo, although Julia does go a bit Miss Li now and again. The two EP’s and the album from them so far are excellent. The new EP “The Beast” is out now from Rough Trade Records.
WARNING: I gave up trying to find it on the Rough Trade website after 10 minutes… Shame really. You are probably better off phoning them.

A cute little website. However, yet another site where the audio is set to autoplay… When will they learn…

This girl is just too creative. You must check out her website for the best audio player I have ever seen! (Shame there isn’t a volume control to make it Work Safe…)
Sia - “Sunday” from the album “Colour The Small One”
