Isobel Campbell & Mark Lanegan – Sunday At Devil Dirt

Isobel Campbell & Mark Lanegan - Sunday at Devil Dirt

Their second outing together as a duet.
Much more bluesy than their first release.

Isobel Campbell & Mark Lanegan – Ballad Of The Broken Seas

Isobel Campbel & Mark Lanegan - Ballad Of The Broken Seas

These two have a new release out in May 2008 so I have been revisiting their first workout together from 2006.

The comparison with Nancy Sinatra and Lee Hazelwood is impossible to ignore, with Marks growling wavering deep vocals and Isobells flotsam softness, but this album goes to much darker places than Nancy & Lee ever did.

A great album that I never know when to put on in its entirety, but all the tracks here made it on to my various playlists.
The new album is called “Sunday at Devil Dirt”… Sounds like a barrel of laughs.
I can’t wait.
