The Canadian singer/pianist is back with a great album. It did take a few listens to grow on me, but most of her albums do.
Her website has a built in store, and the prices are surprisingly reasonable. Pop over and get ordering.

I must have played this to death in the 90′s as I haven’t listened to it for years.
Quite refreshing to give it another airing. (Thanks for the reminder R).
It holds up very well indeed.

As downbeat as Julie can be she always has a sense of humour.
Real life lyrics and slo-fi music to take it easy to.
Having said that, this is a bit more upbeat than her previous releases such as Goodnight Nobody and Heart and Crime.

A strange collection of tracks that really works. All bouncy happy springtime sounds, then it goes a bit psychedelically winter, then bouncy summer, then Autumnal… well something like that.
I really like it as a debut release.
Great writing and a great voice.
